Stage 4
I am learning to
find halves, quarters, fifths and thirds of sets and shapes.
I know that I can do this when:
I can share sets
or shapes into halves, quarters, fifths and thirds of sets and shapes.
I can write and
read the symbol for each fraction
My Maths Reflection
I have been learning to find halves, quarters and thrids of shapes and sets. I found this learning easy because I know my maths now. My next step is to do my division knowledge.

Kyle, you have been working really hard in our recent booster group sessions. You have demonstrated that you can split numbers to help you make a group of 10 when adding 2 single-digit numbers together. You are also able to use your place value knowledge to solve 2-digit addition problems. You have really deepened your knowledge of fractions in our sessions and I will test you soon to see just how much actual progress you have made in your use of strategies.
You need to keep learning your basic facts at stage 5 and continue to work on these areas as well as maintaining your understanding of fractions for the rest of this term.
Your teachers are very impressed with your progress. Keep it up!
