The Fantasy of DEATH!!
The Fantasy of Death
It was 3:45am on the 25th of April 1915. It was pitch black. There were thirty nine other young ANZAC soldiers cramped in a landing boat with me.
My friend whispered to me in my ear ‘’Don’t be scared. It will be okay”. Suddenly…. Boom!!
I heard soldiers shouting. I ducked down so I wouldn’t get shot. Then I heard soldiers screaming. I was very scared.
When I breathed in air I smelt blood. I saw a flash of light at ‘Z’ beach. My heart was beating really fast. My leg was bleeding. I knew I was shot. I thought I was going to die. This is the end. I hoped my family and friends would be fine without me.
